Preparing for Online Intercession (Part 2)

Please note a change of date for intercession. It has come to my notice, most prayer meetings in the States, occur on Wednesdays. Therefore, Online Intercession for the States midterm elections, will be hosted on Tuesday, March the 17th, 7.00 to 10pm CT(Central Time). We apologise for the inconvenience, but I do not want to clash with Church programs. Rather, we work with churches to build up the Body.

Please prepare for the Online Intercession. Spiritual warfare is real.

I was shocked! The evening before intercessors training, two attendees were hospitalised. One from a heart attack and another with a skin infection, requiring morphine to numb the pain! Ideas raced through my head. Was this my fault? Had I led them, into something they were not prepared for?

Over the three-month period, five people were attacked, putting them out of the race or almost out of the race. Only Faith and I were able to continue!

A few years later, at an evangelism rally for Nathan Morris, there were two more attacks. The head of the Malaysia AOG intercessors ministry, had a family member hospitalised with a suspected heart attack. The Pastor, leading the three days intercession, was unsettled when during intercession her daughter had a motor accident.

Three years ago, experienced and healthy intercessors from New Zealand, were interceding against the “Euthanasia Bill”. Several of them had near-death experiences. When we fight against the spirit of death, expect to be attacked by the demons of death.

Spiritual warfare is real. We will come under attack. Faith and I have come under attack many times, but by the grace of God, have overcome and continued moving forward. You can also overcome the attacks, if you learn how to put on the armour of God.

For those leading intercession, it is essential to pray God’s covering for the intercessors. This requires intense, focused prayer, declaring God’s hedge of protection around the intercessors.

The following video “The armour of God” is based on teaching by Ps. Neville Johnson, founding Pastor of the Auckland Assemblies of God. It is the most practical and accurate teaching, on the armour, I have seen in my fifty years as a Christian. I strongly recommend it.
