Unity is unraveling and will destroy the Body

I continue to be burdened when I see personal attacks, within the Body of Christ. In 1996 Rick Joyner had a vision “The Final Quest”. The vision, was of the last great spiritual battle before Christ’s return. Two key factors which stood out for me is, unity and loving our enemy. The Holy Spirit showed Rick Joyner, these are two key factors for the maturing of the Body, unity and love.

Our first big battle as Christians is, assurance of salvation. After being born-again, do we really believe we have eternal life, if we sin against God or others? We will go through this battle until we come to the point, where we will be certain of having eternal life. No matter what happens to us, we know we have eternal life.

Our next big battle, in becoming the Body of Christ, is unity among the brethren. “A house divided against ourselves will fall”, Mark 3:25. Therefore, the Body will not be stable or go through hard times, if there is disunity. This was clearest during Covid. Churches and Christians split because of their differing views. This was the enemies plan to divide, and then defeat God’s people.

The next battle God showed Rick Joyner is, loving our enemies. God showed him, when Christians reach this stage of maturity, they will have the power of the Holy Spirit. Being baptised in the Holy Spirit, does not guarantee we have the power. How many Christians do not move, in the power of the Holy Spirit? Many!

Therefore, I find loving our enemies a very interesting point. The very first thing Jesus taught the Apostles is, love your enemies. At the end of Jesus’s ministry, the Apostles had learnt this valuable quality. Then, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on them, they had the power of the Holy Spirit.

A lack of love, is the reason many Christians do not have the power of the Holy Spirit. God cannot trust these Christians with his power. He gives power to the mature. Years ago, I wondered why are we seeing lives and cities being transformed. We are not angels, but we continue pressing on in God, doing our best to follow him.

We have been through many deep trials, which at times even seemed beyond us. I believe paying the price is one reason why we are seeing cities changing. Because we have paid the price to follow Jesus, leaving father, mother, and home to follow the Lord, Mark 10:28-31. I believe the principle of loving our enemies, also applies.

So these three stages of grow, assurance of salvation, unity among the brethren and loving our enemies are critical stages of maturing. Every Christian must go through these three stages. It is part of everyone’s life, regardless of calling or gifting.

Therefore, it saddens me to see older Christians, calling younger Christians antisemitic, Nazis, mental, etc. Very rarely did Jesus call people names. He nearly always reserved this for evil people like Nero, the Scribes and Pharisees. He called them, “old fox, whitewashed sepulchers, hypocrites etc”.

From memory, the only Christian Jesus called names, was calling Peter Satan, Matthew 16:23. When Jesus called Peter Satan, it was over an extremely serious matter. Peter was trying to persuade Jesus, from going to the cross. If Jesus had not been crucified, we would not have salvation. Therefore, Jesus had to rebuke Peter strongly.

The rhetoric of some older Christians is now getting out of control. These are sure signs of demons at work. These attacks, from my observations, began to increase in September 2025 and following, with Tucker Carlson’s comments at Charlie Kirk’s funeral!

Now, many Christians are accusing each other of being anti-Semitic and other ungodly behaviours. Some language is ugly and unbecoming of Christians. It is sad to see, and some of it, I believe is misguided. Some people, who are being accused of antisemitism, openly declare their best friends are Jews, and they do not hate Israel! How can they be antisemitic! Yet the accusations continue to fly.

One thing is clear, every Christian must turn down the rhetoric. Abraham Lincoln gave good advice during the American Civil War. Do not demonize the opposition but attack the ideas, because after the war we must live together. Very wise.

Secondly we do not look on other Christians, as we do non-Christians. Christians are a work in progress, going from glory to glory. In the video, “Transforming Power”, I share how we are being transformed into Christ’s image. Therefore, we will not be the same person, one year from now. So criticism must stop, and rather build each other up, as Jesus taught.

Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. Look for ways to build each other up and not tear down. Where there is error or sin, speak the truth in love, being careful we are not also tempted, Galatians 6:1. Jesus is very clear, “A house divided against itself can not stand”, Mark 3:25. If Christians stand together and support each other, we will grow.

“United we stand, divided we fall”

Let’s speak the truth in love, but do not demonize Christians. Afterwards, we have to live with each other. Our focus of prayer, must primarily be for the Church to build up each other. Do not give room for the devil to divide us.
