New Zealand’s election strategy for conservatives

There is a real possibility, of an extreme left wing Party becoming the King Maker in New Zealand’s 2026 election. Polls indicate a close race between National and Labour, with the extreme left wing Party, deciding who rules. National, wisely ruled out working with the extremists. Labour did not.

However, conservatives have the chance to win if they vote strategically. National leader and Reserve Bank governor, Don Brash, explains how.

Under the MMP voting system, NZFirst and Act, can pick up a large number of seats, if National voters vote for NZFirst or Act, as their preferred Party. Hence, Parliament will become a strongly conservative government, pushing out the extreme left. (watch video)

National will gain a large number of electoral seats this election. Therefore, if National supporters also vote National as their preferred Party, they will need 100,000 Party votes, to gain one more seat in Parliament. So for National members to vote National as their preferred Party, it will be a wasted Party vote and victory for the extremists.

However, if National voters vote National in their electorate, and vote for NZFirst or Act as their preferred Party, conservatives will win by a big margin(Don Brash). Hence, a strong conservative presence in Parliament is guaranteed. When the righteous rule the people rejoice, is a true saying.

The Act Party will win Epsom and Tamaki, but NZFirst is unknown. People are surprised by the large number of people attending NZFirst’s town hall meetings. More people are attending, than are attending National’s meetings! But I don’t know if NZFirst will win any electoral seats.

NZFirst leader, Winston Peters, is very popular. He is the most righteous of the politicians, regularly voting biblical values on conscience issues. He is also the only politician, who had the courage to talk to the covid protestors in Wellington. However he does not suffer fools gladly, which some people do not like, and this works against him.

In early 2022, a huge number of New Zealanders believed there was something wrong with the covid shots, and that the shots should be stopped for closer evaluation. Winston Peters went and talked with the protestors.

There were doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, police and housewives, the backbone of society. No other politician met with the protestors. Winston Peters gained great favour with a large section of New Zealanders, by listening to their concerns. Winston Peters also realised the serious damage caused by the shots.

We saw the massive destruction caused by the previous government, because they ignored experts advice to not roll out the shots, not to give the shots to pregnant women, not to give them to young people and to stop the long lockdowns. These are all confirmed by the previous government’s emails.

Thirty percent of New Zealand’s businesses, which were the highest contributors to the economy and employment, closed down. This had an enormous impact on the economy, which will take 30 years to recover(PM Luxon).

National has struggled to improve the economy after the pandemic. People do not feel as though their livelihood, has improved much. New Zealand also has their “Deep State”, just like America. Despite National declaring the end to DEI, Transgender and Woke thinking in the education system, it still prevails. (watch video at 50 mins)

These all work against National, unless they can pull the cat out of the bag before the election. As James Carville(Bill Clinton’s campaign strategist) said, “It’s the economy stupid!” Maybe they need a Venezuela.

We saw the destruction caused by the government under former PM Jacinda Arden and deputy Hipkins. Now we see an extreme left wing Party could become the King Maker, bringing the same destructive Labour Party back into power.

We can not let this happen. This is not about the person, this is not about the politics, this is about the purposes of God! God has promised a golden age(Hank Kunneman), and good things for New Zealand.

I do not have any specific guidance for the elections, but let’s keep praying and believing for God’s best for New Zealand. He has promised. The key is those who are responsible for the nation, the people called by God’s name, who must humble themselves, turn from their wicked ways and pray, 2 Chronicles 7:14.
